About Mental Health LA

Care that meets youwhere you are.

We were founded on a quiet conviction: that mental health treatment can be rigorous, evidence-based, and deeply human all at once. This is the practice we wished existed — for our patients, our colleagues, and the people we love.

Our Origin

A practice built around the patient.

Mental Health LA was founded by clinicians who had spent decades inside large hospitals and high-volume clinics. They saw the gap clearly: extraordinary treatment was possible, but rarely delivered with the dignity, privacy, and continuity their patients deserved.

So they built something quieter. A small, beautifully designed home in Los Angeles. A handpicked team of master's and doctoral-level clinicians. Long appointments. A real philosophy of care. And an answer to a single question: “What would treatment look like if we built it for the people we love most?”

That answer is this practice.

Leadership

Founded and led by working clinicians.

Our founders still see patients every week. It is the only way they know how to lead a clinical team — from inside the work, never above it.

The Setting

The room itselfis part of the treatment.

We chose a private home, in a quiet residential neighborhood, on purpose. Healing happens faster when nervous systems feel safe. So we made everything — the light, the textures, the meals, the silence between sessions — intentional.

A Family's Voice
We had spent years — and a great deal of money — in places that were either cold and clinical or warm and unserious. Mental Health LA was the first place that was both rigorous and humane. They gave our daughter back to us.
